This is just a little something I whipped up in a couple of hours.

... OR NOT. How do you people work that fast? This took me weeks :iconotlplz:

Anyway, I present to you the adorable Hatsune Miku of Vocaloid. pigtailspigtailspigtailsjsdfkjsdf :heart:
This was originally only supposed to be a doodle (hence the kind of... sub-standard anatomy ^^;), but... it turned out to be a little more than that. >3>

Her name (the kanji and katakana down the left side) was originally vectored from a promotional picture of her I found somewhere on the internet, except I edited it to be vertical instead of horizontal. SO FIDDLY, FFFSHSGJ-- kind of fun, though. c8 And I messed with the colours a bit.

Ahhh, she's too cute! I love how expressive her eyes are, and the detailing on the microphone and the reflections in her hair are just fantastic.

The one coloring tip that someone suggested to me that I've found really helpful is to try to incorporate other colors into your shading and highlights. I can see some blues in the hair, and it looks great! Maybe some deep purples or reds in the skin would help to add to the great sense of depth you've already got going on there.

hopefully some day ^^". i'm trying to practice some soft cell shading, but it really hasn't been going to great :P
